Loafers Glory Gem Mine is located an easy 2 hours from Charlotte, NC. We are on Loafers Glory Campground where you are able to relax and get away from it all.
The gem mine offers the opportunity to find gem stones in their natural composition.
We guarantee you will find true treasures in every bucket. Our buckets begin at
just $10.00.
| This is how you gem
mine::
1.Come ready to find some treasures!
2. Purchase a bucket of your choice of size-the bigger the bucket, the bigger the rocks.
Our buckets are $10.00, $12.50, $25.00, $50.00 and $100,00. They ALL have real gem stones in them. |

| 3. Scoop scoopfuls of your bucket dirt into a screen box (we provide) and shake, shake, shake in the water flume. This washes away the dirt/sand and leaves you to behold your beautiful treasures.
4. Pick out the keepers. We will help you identify your rocks. We have feldspar sand (Mitchell County is known for) around our flume so you won't get too dirty. It is the best of both worlds-the beach in the mountains. |
